Digital Arts and Media
The Digital Arts and Media program is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of digital media creation. The program aims to enhance computer literacy, to analyze current and emerging technologies, and to challenge the student to produce unique and creative multimedia projects. Each course offers students the opportunity to develop as an artist while participating in the shared experience of media production.
We have two pathways available: Digital Media Production and Digital Photography. Students may take classes in both areas in order to fulfill strand obligations.
Digital Arts and Media Classes include:
Photography I – year long introduction to digital photography
AV Media Production I – year long introduction to animation and digital media
Photography II – Two semester long classes: Advanced Camera and Equipment and
Digitally Constructed Image
Principles of Art and AV (AV Media Production II )– Advanced media production and media analysis This is a high school credit class for 8th graders
