Lamar has two academic tracks available in English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies: Academic and Pre-AP. Lamar's Mathematics department offers these two tracks and an Accelerated track consisting of an Algebra 1 Honors course for 7th and 8th graders. Seventh graders in Algebra I Honors take Geometry in 8th grade. Please see the Math Flow Chart for more information.

Lamar Middle School's Language Arts teachers are Claire Cozzi, Keyon Fareghi, Christine Fuhrman, Sarah Geis,  Rachel Pearson,  Natalie Preston, Catherine Vouvray, and Dorothy Winburne.
