SESSION 1 CLOSED DUE TO CAPACITY - SESSION 2 SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE
Welcome Future Scottie!
Your 6th Grade Team is thrilled to meet each of you at Transition Camp and are even more excited for the new friends you’ll make while here! During the two days at Transition Camp, students will move through a mock A-Day/B-Day schedule as they participate in hands on lessons in all four core courses (ELA, math, science, and social studies), get creative in art, and break a sweat in P.E.
The purpose of Transition Camp is to help bridge the gap between elementary and middle school and make the first day of school a little less daunting. After our time together, students will be able to identify familiar faces in a crowd, spot their decorated locker in a busy hallway, and navigate the school—maybe even help direct other students in the right direction!
WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT TO BRING
Students will receive a folder, needed supplies for camp activities, as well as their locker assignment for their first year as a middle schooler.
They will leave with important flyers and information to take home: school supply list, dress code information, upcoming events, etc.
Students are encouraged to dress in athletic clothes and to bring a water bottle as well as a lunch or snack. We’ll wrap up our day as a big group for announcements and lunch at the end of each day.
We look forward to meeting you!
